Wang Boqun's former residence is located in Xingyi City, Xiwutun street office Jingjiatun, was built in the early years of the Qing Dynasty Guangxu, sitting east to west, the hard hill of the Qingtile-type wood structure, by the front hall, two chambers and main hall constitute the traditional Chinese Siheyuan, the building covers an area of 736.88 square meters. After that, a gate building was built in the southeast of the courtyard, and a lookout tower was built in the northwest, northeast and southeast, and between the gate building and the lookout tower, there were five stone walls connected to the area of 2837 square meters, which also made the architectural characteristics of the former residence from residential buildings to military defense functions. Wang Boqun's former residence is the birthplace of Mr. Wang Boqun and his younger brother Wang Wenhua. Wang Boqun, originally named Wang Wenxuan, also known as Yin Tai, was born in Jingjiatun, a suburb of Xingyi City, in 1855. After graduating from Xingyi Bi Shan Academy, he studied in Japan at public expense, first entering Hongwen College and then entering Central University, majoring in political economy. Then, Zhang Taiyan and others joined the Tongmeng Association led by Dr. Sun Yat-sen, participated in revolutionary activities, and made friends with Liang Qichao; In 1915, Wang Boqun participated in the planning of the national defense movement, and later served as the first minister of transportation in the National Government. In 1924, Wang Boqun founded Mansion University in Shanghai, which is now East China Normal University.
